This painting with an ethereal sky is my version of the beach at Ballycastle. Overlooked by the majestic headland Fair Head, with vertical dolerite columns it rises up to 600 feet above sea level with spectacular views of Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre, Scotland. Ballycastle is part of the Causeway Coastal route running from the cities of Belfast and Derry (Londonderry) the route connects with 'The Wild Atlantic Way' at Muff outside Derry and with the Mourne Coastal Route at Belfast.
